Stock Water Tanks – A Time Efficient Solution

THE PROBLEM

Kim has struggled to source water for his livestock and seeding/spraying program over the last three years due to the lack of summer rain.

The high evaporation rates in the summer months have depleted water reserves further. Whilst dams are effective in catching runoff, they increase the surface area of the body of water, this means more water is exposed to air and sunlight – in just four months you can lose over 50% of your dam water.

Kim needed an effective, sustainable rainwater harvesting solution – new tanks would mean that in the cooler months, after winter rains, he could store water pumped from his key dams.

Having worked with Pioneer Water Tanks before, Kim knew who he was going to approach for the job.

THE SOLUTION

Kim’s touch point was Pioneer Dealer Direct Network® member Price’s Fabrication & Steel.

“The cost of the tank was the main factor in our decision-making process,” explains Kim.

“We also wanted a time-efficient solution – as we had already dealt with Pioneer when purchasing our freshwater tanks, we knew the process was going to be quick and cost effective.”

Kim had two small tanks installed last year. This time round he purchased two GT500s (500,000L).

“The quoting process was extremely efficient,” says Kim.

“We were informed of all possible options and given expert advice.”

Pioneer Water Tanks are designed for dependability and reliability in the harsh Aussie climate – built robust and strong to take on anything.

“When our first two tanks were installed last year, the staff were quick, precise and organised.”

Kim’s looking forward to seeing the same work when the two GT500s are installed this year.

“As long as we get the predicted winter rains, the tanks will contribute to solving our water issues.”
