Rick and his family run Pioneer Tanks NSW. They build hundreds of tanks each year from Birdsville to the Murrumbidgee.
Water is the lifeblood of “outback” communities. Rick understands this having grown up in Burke and worked across the western division for most of his life. He has been associated with building tanks for 40 years and a leading Pioneer Water Tank installer to the remote areas of New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia for the past 8 years.
With years of experience under his belt he knows what is required to install and guarantee a tank that will live up to the harsh conditions of the Australian Outback.
Pioneer Tanks NSW are heavily involved in the community, sponsoring several key events across western NSW. This includes, White Cliffs gymkhana, Tallibigeal Races, Cameron’s Corner Sports Weekend and Easter Pack Saddle Sports Weekend.
This year, they raised $10,100 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia through the auctioning of a GT110 litres Pioneer Water Tank at PackSaddle Sports Weekend bought by Raine Weston, local grazier, Packsaddle.
What’s the best thing about being a Pioneer Water Tanks Distributor?
“We could see Australia and still go to work! We love it. We do a lot of bush work, which puts us in touch with some great people. We really value the relationships we’ve built on the road, installing tanks and helping people. We reckon the people get better the farther west you go!”
