Natalie and Andrew from Paynedale, WA
About four years ago, Natalie and Andrew made the switch to off-grid living in Paynedale, Western Australia. With no access to water on the property, rainwater storage was the only option for the couple in order to access water at the house.
Fast-forward to this year with one Pioneer Water Tank already installed, the pair were experiencing a large overflow of rainwater due to not enough storage space.
“Because we have such a large roof span on the house, the original tank was over-flowing and we wanted to be able to catch that water,” Natalie explains.
“We wanted to purchase another tank and connect it to the existing one to catch that over-flow.
“It’s also a lot cheaper than a dam, and you don’t have evaporation.”
When choosing a tank provider to solve their over-flow problem, Natalie and Andrew first looked at stockists and their prices due to experiencing such high costs with their house build.
“However, we have been happy with the quality of the original tank, so we decided to stick with Pioneer,” says Natalie.
“The local water cartage company also said that they have never gone to fill a Pioneer tank that has had its lining ripped.”
Natalie and Andrew were both pleasantly surprised when the team offered them the same price four years later for their second tank.
Rachel from Huckleberry’s sold them a GT200 (200,000L) in August this year, and come mid-September the tank was installed ready for use.
“It’s currently early days, but due to the heavy rain we’ve already had, the new tank is already holding 40-50,000L after just five days.
“Everything came together so easily – the quote, installation, everything.
“The installation guys were a pleasure to have onsite and we couldn’t believe how quickly they installed the tank!
“We had regular contact from deposit to dispatch to installation, which was excellent.”
