Daniel & Holly’s Rainwater Journey

Daniel and Holly from Crossman, WA

THE PROBLEM

Daniel and Holly recently made the decision to leave the city and make the shift to off-grid-living now that their children are starting to finish schoolLike many other Aussies, Daniel also has the flexibility to work from home since the pandemic.

The couple purchased 100 acres of land at Crossman, located an hour from Perth. The area isn’t close to any existing services such as water or power, so they’ll be 100% on their own.

This was where the pair started thinking about where they would source their water from initially for a farm shed and then for a house which they want to start building in the next 1 to 2 years.

“I’d always set Pioneer as the benchmark for these types of tanks because of their quality. ... I stuck with Pioneer because I knew the quality was guaranteed.”

Coincidentally, Daniel works in the water industry as an engineer specialising in water treatmentpumping and piping systems.

“Through my work I’ve dealt with Pioneer Water Tanks over many years,” he says.

“I’d always set Pioneer as the benchmark for these types of tanks because of their quality. There wasn’t a lot of difference in pricing with other vendors, so I stuck with Pioneer because I knew the quality was guaranteed.”

THE SOLUTION

Daniel approached Pioneer for a quote on two tanks. They settled on a GT110 (110,000L) for rainwater catchment and a GT220 (220,000L) for fire protection.

“I’m really happy with the outcome,” says Daniel.

Price’s Fabrication + Steel, member of the Pioneer Dealer Direct Network®, was the trusty team who installed the two tanks.

“At the time the team installed the tanks there was nothing out there – they were the first things built. There wasn’t even a slab for the shed yet.

“The Price’s team were out there by themselves – and it’s not an easy place to find!

“I had a sketch of everything where I wanted and a mark-up on site, and they installed everything exactly as I planned it. They were spot on in terms of their set out.”

The tanks were installed in June this year, and the couple are already thinking about purchasing another two for the house.

You don’t have to be an engineer to understand the quality of Pioneer Water Tanks – but it doesn’t hurt to have the reassurance!
